Six Swedish Interior Design Blogs You Should Be Reading

Our understanding of modern Scandinavian style and Scandinavian design comes, in large part, from the popularization of a few major Swedish interior design blogs. It’s a style that is ubiquitous not only in Sweden but around the world. Swedish interior style runs the spectrum from minimalist and sleek to colorful and heavily patterned. There’s a love of both new craftsmanship and vintage pieces, and no one is shy about adding a good old IKEA piece in there.

Here are a few of the blogs that remain fresh, inspiring and a great representation of Swedish design and trends today:

Trendenser is run by Frida Ramstedt and is the interior design blog in Sweden. The blog mainly covers interior design trends, so if you want to be on top of not only what is happening now, but what will be happening in six months, this is where you should go. The blog is in Swedish but has an English translation button in the top right corner. In addition to covering interior spaces, Trendenser has a bit of fashion, beauty, and DIY mixed in. If you’re looking for consistent visual inspiration, you won’t be disappointed!

Hyper minimalist, graphic and inspiring, this blog is all about the monochrome & natural materials look. Annaleena runs a design studio and you can shop many of her pieces, so if you see something you fall in love with, it’ll be easy to find!

From London but based in Sweden, blogger Niki is coming to Scandinavian design as an outsider and that makes her a great explorer. She always manages to find the lovely moment or cosy corner; great for home inspiration!

Strictly speaking this is a magazine, but its website hosts the blogs of various interior stylists and is filled to the brim with Swedish interior inspiration. Residence Magazine has both print and digital versions, so you can also pick up a hard copy if you’re looking to do some moodboard-making.

Talented interior designer Lotta Agaton offers a great source of trend news, including fashion and design, as well as inspirational styling and photoshoots. Endless visual delight!

A great blog for fun little bits & bobs of interior design, including cool brands you’ve never heard of. This blog is great if you’re interested in design for children that’s fun but not so twee that you can’t stand to have it out in your home (you know, the holy grail).
